YESTERDAY morning's current affairs shows were awash with bad metaphors about the Julia Gillard and AWU affair.
On The Bolt Report, Nationals leader Warren Truss - after prompting from the host - said the Prime Minister was adopting the "Sergeant Schultz defence", a reference to the rotund German soldier in Hogan's Heroes who perpetually protested "I know nuffink".
