THE Raiders have clinched a crucial 30-18 win over the Broncos at Canberra Stadium. Replay how the action unfolded.

8.46pm - FULL-TIME: RAIDERS 30 d BRONCOS 18

A try to Mitchell Dodds inside the final 10 minutes gives the Broncos hope of pulling off a miracle, but it's not to be.

Jordan Kahu goes over in the corner soon afterwards only for the play to be called back for a forward pass.

The Raiders hold on - although Queensland State of Origin hopeful Josh Papalii is put on report with only seconds left in the match for a lifting tackle.

It's a crucial win for Canberra who remain in touch with the top eight, while the battling Broncos will be under even more pressure.

8.29pm - EDWARD SMASHES OVER FOR RAIDERS

TRY! The Raiders are back out to a three-try lead thanks to a barnstorming try from Joel Edwards.

He charges on to Terry Campese's short ball and through three Broncos defenders to score a crucial four-pointer.

Jarrod Croker converts and the Raiders lead 30-12 with 15 minutes left on the clock.

8.15pm - BRONCOS BACK IN THE GAME

TRY! The Broncos get what they need - the first try of the second half - to drag themselves back into the game.

Matt Gillett is the man of the moment, reeling in Peter Wallace's perfectly weighted bomb ahead of Raiders fullback Reece Robinson to score.

Scott Prince is on the money with his conversion attempt and the Raiders' lead is cut to 24-12 after 53 minutes.

7.48pm - HALF-TIME: RAIDERS LEAD BRONCOS 24-6

TRY! The Broncos get a much-needed try in the shadows of half-time through five-eighth Scott Prince.

Prince runs at the Raiders line, throws a dummy and slices through to grab the first four-pointer for the Broncos.

He converts his own try and it's 24-6, which remains the score as the half-time hooter sounds.

7.34pm - RAIDERS RUNNING HOT

TRY! It's freezing at Canberra Stadium but the Raiders are running hot as Jarrod Croker scores their third try of the night.

Reece Robinson shows great speed to get into space from a kick return before putting his winger Edrick Lee away down the left touchline.

Lee strides out before drawing a defender and giving his centre a clear run to the line. Croker converts his own try and it's the Raiders up 18-0 after 28 minutes.

Meanwhile there's an injury concern for the Broncos with winger Jordan Kahu receiving treatment.

7.21pm - RAIDERS ON A ROLL

TRY! TRY! The Raiders are on a roll at Canberra Stadium, grabbing back-to-back tries in the space of a couple of minutes.

The first four-pointer of the night goes to Josh McCrone and it's a beauty, the halfback finishing off some superb work from Blake Ferguson.

Ferguson, back from a brilliant Blues Origin debut, flies high to reel in a Terry Campese bomb and as he's tackle manages to slip a pass away to McCrone who dives over the line.

From the kick-off the Raiders go in again, Campese making a great bust before putting Joel Thompson away for a sprint to the tryline.

Jarrod Croker nails both conversions and in the space of two minutes the Raiders lead 12-0.

6.15pm TEAMS NAMED: HODGES BACK FOR BRONCOS

The teams are in and both the Raiders and Broncos have made late changes for tonight's Canberra Stadium clash.

As expected the Broncos have named star centre Justin Hodges, who joins Sam Thaiday, Corey Parker and Matt Gillett in backing up from last Wednesday's State of Origin series openere.

The return of Hodges in the centres sees Josh Hoffman move to the wing and Aaron Whitchurch drop out of the squad.

Jarrod Wallace has won a spot on the Broncos bench with Scott Anderson, Dunamis Lui and Nick Slyney all dropping out.

For the Raiders Glen Buttriss will start at hooker, replacing Shaun Berrigan who is ommitted. Joel Edwards comes on to the Raiders bench in place of Joe Picker.

Dane Tilse will start in the Canberra pack with Maroons forward David Shillington to come off the bench.

RAIDERS: Reece Robinson, Jack Wighton, Jarrod Croker, Blake Ferguson, Edrick Lee, Terry Campese, Josh McCrone, David Shillington, Glen Buttriss, Brett White, Josh Papalii, Joel Thompson, Shaun Fensom. Interchange: Anthony Milford, Joe Picker, Dane Tilse, Paul Vaughan.
