Broncos Aim To Get Hot In Canberra - Brisbane Broncos

THE NRMA Insurance Broncos do not care what weather conditions they encounter in Canberra this Monday as they aim to turn around their performance.

Single-figure temperatures are predicted for the clash in the nation's capital, but the Broncos are aiming to turn up the heat.

They need to get back on a winning run after dropping their last two matches.

"It has been a bit cold down there - I checked it," said Broncos' outside back Jordan Kahu.

"But it doesn't really matter if it is hot or cold down there.

"We have to prepare well and be at our best whether it is hot, cold, rainy - whatever the weather.

"Hopefully this week we can bounce back from a disappointing loss."

Kahu will again play on the wing and is showing that despite two knee reconstructions in the last two years, he belongs in the big time.

But he also knows how easy it is to lose his spot.

"I am happy to be starting week in and week out - but I have to keep proving myself," he said.

"Each week you have to prove yourself, there are no set positions.

"I have to be on top of our game and keep playing well and do my thing for the team."

The Broncos will have their final training run tomorrow with Origin trio Corey Parker, Matt Gillett and Sam Thaiday certainties to play.

Make your Monday night when the Broncos play the Tigers on June 17 - great seats available here.
