Celebrating music: win tickets to the Canberra International Music Festival ... - ABC Technology and Games

The 19th Canberra International Music Festival will be held in iconic architectural spaces with exceptional acoustics throughout Canberra as part of the official Centenary celebrations marking the foundation of the nation's capital.

Featuring music from Australia's finest, America's masters and Britain's brightest composers, the festival will celebrate Canberra's growth, from the inspired designs of Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony, into the dynamic city it is today. There'll also be Bach, Mozart and India's homage to Griffin plus much more.

On Sunday May 19, 666 ABC Canberra will present the Canberra International Music Festival festival finale 'Wispelwey: Elgar, Adams'.

Celebrating Canberra, this concert will demonstrate the culmination of two great democratic traditions: England and America.

And we want you to be there.

666 ABC Canberra has ten double passes to the finale concert to giveaway.

For the opportunity to win tickets, listen to 666 Mornings with Genevieve Jacobs from 9am and Afternoons with Alex Sloan from 1pm each day from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May.

From Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May:

Each day on Mornings, contact us during the program between 9am and 11am on 02 6275 4572 and leave a descriptive message for Genevieve answering this question: what is your favourite piece of classical music and why?

The five most creative answers by Friday 17 May will win a double pass, announced at the end of the week on Mornings.

Each day on Afternoons, Alex Sloan will read a "Who am I" daily music question between 1pm and 3pm. If you know the answer, call Alex, on 1300 681 666 and provide the answer to her live to air, to win a double pass.
