Police have revealed information about more violent incidents in Civic on Thursday night and in the early hours of Friday morning.

It comes after earlier revelations on Monday that a man was still in hospital after being punched and kicked in the head on the same night.

Police said they believed a series of assaults began about 11.50pm on Thursday at the intersection of West Row and London Circuit.

The fight spilled onto the median strip of Northbourne Avenue before some of the offenders and victims continued towards McDonalds on East Row.

At midnight, police spoke to a group of five men near Northbourne Avenue. They claimed to have been assaulted by a group of men in the area.

Five minutes later, police were called to the McDonalds on East Row, where two more men alleged they had been assaulted by a man between London Circuit and East Row.

But police said there was no known link between this series of alleged midnight assaults and the attack by a group of four men that occurred in Petrie Plaza in the city about 3.30am on the same night.

The victim of the later attack is still in hospital.

Police are calling for witnesses to the two separate incidents, and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website.
