Etching the Centenary Trail in Canberra's hills and suburbs - ABC Local

The Canberra Centenary Trail is designed to show off the bush capital by giving locals and tourists alike a route to explore the city and surrounds.

At about 140km long, the trail is a weeks worth of walking or a three-day cycle tour, though it ducks in and out of the suburbs enough to allow anyone to sample any part easily.

The trail takes in some of Canberra's well known icons, like the Parliamentary precinct and the Australian Institute of Sport, but will also take those prepared to explore to new destinations.

One Tree Hill on Canberra's northern border is a significant landmark in Canberra's history but has been inaccessible until now - and the Murrumbidgee River corridor is now more easily enjoyed by cyclists and walkers.

You can find a map of the trail here.
