Canberra betting agency ACTTAB may be sold - Yahoo!7 News

The ACT Government is considering selling the betting agency ACTTAB.

A government-commissioned feasibility study by PriceWaterhouseCoopers has found there is a strong argument for a sale.

ACTTAB is one of the few remaining gambling agencies still owned by a state or territory government.

The Government says ACTTAB is vulnerable to increased competition, and the value of the business will decline as it continues to lose market share.

The Government says a sale could help secure ACTTAB's future but no final decision has been made.

More to come.
