Phil Gould: Boys behaving badly

Phil Gould calls for deregistration for sacked players in the wake of the Blake Ferguson and Josh Dugan 'stupidity'.

Campbelltown Stadium, Saturday 7.30pm (AEST)

Last meeting:
Round 13 2012 - Tigers 40 bt Raiders 0 at Canberra Stadium

Head-to-head: Tigers 15 Raiders 10

Referees: Adam Devcich, Alan Shortall

TV: Live, FoxSports 1

TAB Sportsbet:
Tigers $3.00 Raiders $1.35

FootyTab: Tigers +4.5

Phil Mitchell writes: The Tigers can’t take a trick on the injury front this season. Not a week seems to go by when they don’t lose a player - this time it’s Braith Anasta, who has been ruled out for three weeks because of shoulder damage. It’s the last thing the Tigers needed this weekend as they will already be without Blues pair Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods. The last time the Tigers played at this ground, centre Chris Lawrence tore a hamstring and has not played since, but he may be a late inclusion on Saturday. While Canberra won the corresponding match in 2012, they have lost eight of their past nine games against the Tigers. But with their front row beefed up by Queensland discard David Shillington, the Raiders should be too strong for the home side.

Phil's tip: Raiders by 16

AAP writes: Blake Ferguson’s indecent assault charge is an unwelcome distraction for the Raiders as they look to win just their second away game this season. They’ve lost the NSW Origin winger for at least four weeks as well as enforcer Josh Papalii (Origin) for the clash, meaning their right edge won’t be as effective. The second last-placed Tigers will find it tough to build momentum without prop Aaron Woods and skipper Robbie Farah, who also have Origin duty. But the Tigers have won two of their past three matches and this could be the upset of the round.

Key: Prop David Shillington, who was dropped from the Maroons squad for teammate Papalii, will be out to prove a point.
