Big-picture Tony Burke strives to enshrine secure environment - The Australian



THE traditional owners of Cape York sometimes have a no-nonsense approach to politics that pays little heed to diplomatic nicety or the ego of a visiting federal minister.



"What's going to happen in September when you're gone?" was the blunt question for federal Environment Minister Tony Burke, who toured the Cape this week to take the temperature on talks for a World Heritage listing.
