WOOLWORTHS has signed a long-term supply deal with SPC Ardmona, which means all its house-brand canned fruit will be supplied by local farmers from the middle of this year.
The deal will help placate Coca-Cola Amatil boss Terry Davis, who owns SPC and has long waved the flag for local food manufacturers to offset, in part, the fact he has struggled to get decent returns from the Goulburn Valley-based business.
