LABOR has lashed the Greens for putting "fringe" policies ahead of jobs and growth, as the former political partners yesterday shattered their alliance and intensified a fight for votes at this year's federal election.
The government sharpened its differences with the Greens last night as caucus members acclaimed the formal destruction of the partnership and declared "good riddance" to a rival party they said was moving to the left.
