KEVIN Rudd and his supporters are reaching out to caucus critics, dining last night with key Gillard supporter Simon Crean.

The dinner at Canberra's La Cantina restaurant, to mark the upcoming retirement of Rudd backer Robert McClelland, was also attended by Rudd's inner circle of caucus supporters.
