OPPOSITION treasury spokesman Joe Hockey has acknowledged the Coalition's abolition of the carbon tax could trigger business compensation claims, vowing to assess each claim individually.
The admission has been seized on by the government, which says the claims following any scrapping of the tax will be "massive".
