A PRISONER who died in an Israeli jail - and who was dubbed Mr X because his identity was suppressed by the Israeli government - was last night reported to be Melbourne man Ben Zygier.
Zygier, a Jew who also went by the name of Ben Alon, was believed to be a Mossad agent who was arrested in Israel and held in seclusion of the maximum-security Ayalon prison, ABC1's Foreign Correspondent reported last night.
