Street violence shows the need for Gonski reforms - The Australian



STREET violence has again thrust Logan on to the national stage. But the problems of this city of 280,000 people south of Brisbane will not be solved by stereotyping and stigmatising the communities to which the perpetrators belong.



Tensions between Pacific Island and indigenous communities in Logan have simmered since 2008 when Richard Saunders, the uncle of rugby league star Johnathan Thurston, was fatally bashed at a park in a Logan suburb, Woodridge.
