AFTER two long years of waiting, Mokhtar Amini's family were finally to get their chance at Australian residency with a scheduled appointment today in Islamabad for the family reunion visa the Melbourne-based Hazara student first sought in 2010.
Instead his mother, father and sister are in mourning in Quetta, Pakistan, after his two younger brothers Rahmad and Ahad were killed in the massive blast last Thursday that claimed 92 lives in the Hazara enclave of Alamdar Road. Rahmad was buried on Monday. Ahad's body has not been found.
