FOREIGN Minister Bob Carr has undergone -"enjoyed" would surely be the wrong word - a sharp learning curve over recent weeks. In diplomacy, it's often the small things, the small places, which trip you up.
Among the scores of worthy speeches and hundreds of helpful media releases made over any year by a foreign minister, it is the mispronounced name, the incorrect title, the slip of the tongue that may never be forgotten.
