A 33-year-old woman from Brisbane has died in Bali.

Denni North, who had been living in Kuta and working in public relations, was reportedly found lying face down in a swimming pool.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed this morning a Queensland woman died in Bali on December 30.

"Consular officials in Canberra are providing assistance to the woman’s family in Australia," a department spokeswoman said.

Managers of the Cocoon Beach Club in Kuta, where Ms North worked, have remembered the 33-year-old as a "beautiful and vivacious" young woman.

"It is with incredible sadness that we announce that one of our Cocoon family Denni North passed away suddenly on Sunday morning," reads a post on the club's Facebook page.

"Our sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of this beautiful and vivacious young woman. Denni you will be so missed by so many. RIP beautiful girl."

One close friend remembered Ms North as a ‘‘loving caring soul who always put others first’’.

‘‘I still don't believe my beautiful friend is gone. My dearest closest friend we shared so many stories and travelled the world together,’’ the friend wrote on Facebook.

‘‘I love her so much. She will be missed every single day of my life.’’

Indonesian authorities are investigating Ms North's death.
