Opaque plans for media reforms dogged by delays - The Australian



SETTING your government on a collision course with the press is hardly the best way to begin an election year, but that could be Labor's fate after months of delays to its media reforms.



Cabinet ministers are still at odds over whether to give Canberra new powers over news and current affairs, but Communications Minister Stephen Conroy seems bent on changes that publishers say they cannot accept.
