Half-million Aussies put best foot forward - The Australian

JUST more than 11 million Australians are in the labour force. According to the results of the 2011 census, Australians are likeliest to travel to their workplace by car (66 per cent), train (5 per cent), bus (5 per cent) or tram (1 per cent).

About 5 per cent don't travel to work because they work from home. However, one Australian worker in 20 uses leg power to get to work: they walk (377,000) or they ride a bike (120,000).
